Marlboro, NJ – February, 20 2024: KEF, the audio excellence pioneers since 1961, is redefining immersive audio with the launch of KC92 Force-Cancelling Subwoofer and four new models in the Kube MIE Subwoofer Series: the Kube 8 MIE, Kube 10 MIE, Kube 12 MIE, and Kube 15 MIE. Through innovative technology and design, this complete line of KEF subwoofers delivers deep and detailed bass with unrivalled accuracy. Whether you’re watching an action-packed movie, engrossed in the latest game, or listening to an emotive album, every nuance and every detail will come to life. These subwoofers are KEF’s newest addition to an existing, comprehensive subwoofer range that includes the KC62, T2, Reference 8b, and a
vast collection of THX Certified In-Wall Subwoofers.
Both KC92 and Kube MIE Series feature KEF’s proprietary Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithm, the Music Integrity Engine® (MIE), one of the brand’s core innovations in technology. Tailored for each model, the unique MIE ensures every component works within the individual subwoofer in perfect harmony. Elevating the overall performance for remarkable integrity, detail, and accuracy of sound, KEF allows listeners to feel the action and
amplify the emotions with unparalleled precision and in-depth sound. Powered by MIE, the iBX Intelligent Bass Extension creates an extended depth that unlocks the full potential of the custom driver. By analysing the input signal, iBX allows the subwoofer to play louder and remain dynamic at any listening level.
KC92 FORCE-CANCELLING SUBWOOFER
KC92’s innovative design, which incorporates the patent-pending P-Flex Surround (which was inspired by the Japanese art of origami), resists sonic pressure without sacrificing sensitivity. Similar to origami folds, the pleated construction defies internal air pressure, enabling the driver to move precisely in response to the aural signal. Deeper bass extension and more precise, detailed bass reproduction are the outcomes, and regardless of volume, its design achieves linearity and vanishingly low distortion, guaranteeing to reveal every detail. With fluidity and scale, the KC92 reaches depths of 11Hz thanks to optimised excursion characteristics.
Possessing two 9-inch drivers, the KC92 possesses immense power that fills almost any domestic space, with audiophile-quality 1000W of Class D amplification (a dedicated 500W amplifier for each driver). The five-room placement options allow the KC92 to effortlessly integrate into any environment. Whether it’s placed in a free space, next to the wall, in a corner, snug within a cabinet, or using the dedicated apartment mode its performance will be consistent.
KUBE MIE SUBWOOFERS
Available in four driver sizes (15″, 12″, 10″, and 8″), the deceptively diminutive Kube 8 MIE to the behemoth Kube 15 MIE, gives options to any room size and system requirements. Multiple connectivity options and room EQ settings make installation and setup a breeze.
Each Kube MIE Series model has a long throw driver that fires from the front, increasing output at lower frequencies. This method produces an impression of direct force within the space, resulting in a tactile, compressed, and potent bass experience. The Kube effortlessly blends into any setting thanks to its three-room placement options, guaranteeing reliable performance whether it’s up against a wall, in a corner or inside a cabinet.
From February 20th, the KEF KC92 Force-cancelling Subwoofer and Kube Subwoofers will be available for myKEF members to purchase ahead of the official launch on February 27th.
The KC92 will retail for CA$ 2998.99 (US$ 1999.99) and the Kube MIE Series subwoofers are priced as follows:
