Over a period of ten years, Yannick went from being a music student, to a music researcher, to a lecturer in musicology, whose research specialties involved the sound design, production, and consumption of recorded music. Driven by his passion for the history and aesthetics of the high-fidelity scene, Yannick obtained a master’s degree in musicology. He is also a professional sound engineer, and was both game designer for the famous Guitar Hero franchise, and keyboardist and technical director for the progressive rock band Signs of One.
