During our visit to the listening room, we were warmly welcomed by Dylan, who graciously introduced us to the PS Audio Aspen FR30 loudspeakersโa marvel in design and performance. Standing elegantly in a stunning pearl white finish, these speakers are a celebration of 50 years of industry expertise. They blend seamlessly into any space with their minimalist look, but their presence is undeniable, especially given their impressive size, which demands room to breathe and resonate.
With the room all to ourselves, Dylan extended an invitation to David to choose a track. Without hesitation, he selected Chameleon by Herbie Hancockโa 15-minute jazz-funk masterpiece. Dylan obliged, playing the piece and allowing us to bask in the exquisite soundscapes crafted by the Aspen FR30. A moment of anticipation built up as we approached the iconic saxophone line at 2:50 in the track. The clarity was breathtaking; the saxophone stood out with striking prominence amidst the layers of instruments, each note perfectly defined.
The FR30 performed exceptionally across all volumes. Despite their power, they proved to be equally captivating at lower levels, offering a naturally dynamic and balanced sound. This versatility, paired with their sleek design, makes the FR30 a speaker that excels in any setting, from intimate spaces to grand audio rooms.

Next in the lineup was the Japanese-engineered Class A Accuphase A80 amplifier. A true state-of-the-art stereo amplifier, the A80 embodies Accuphaseโs legacy, drawing on the advanced design elements of the iconic A-300 model released for their 50th anniversary. It delivers an impressive output with pristine clarity, courtesy of Accuphaseโs refined noise reduction technology. The sound was warm yet precise, capturing every nuance and offering an authentic sonic experience.
Completing the setup was the Lumin P1โa multifunctional hub serving as a streamer, DAC, and pre-amplifier. Its sleek, modern design holds more than just aesthetic appeal; this is perhaps the most versatile component for any audio or video system, integrating seamlessly with both digital and analog sources. With LEEDH processing technology and inputs for XLR, RCA, and HDMI passthrough, it can effortlessly support everything from a turntable to a full home theater setup. Specified for high-fidelity performance, the P1 brought a layer of flexibility and refinement to the system, bridging each component with an impressive musical fidelity.
Our time in the room passed swiftly, but every second was savored. From the ambiance to the sound quality, this experience was a testament to the power of meticulous design and expert craftsmanship. Twenty minutes truly well spent.
