Stephane and Michael greeted us in the first room, which featured Bowers & Wilkins speakers paired with Marantz amps—the epitome of prestige! The room had a wonderfully cozy and welcoming atmosphere, thoughtfully staged to feel like we were in our own living room. The natural elements, like the plants, complemented the wooden speaker cabinets, creating an inviting and familiar space. We started the session with Norah Jones’ It’s a Wonderful Time for Love, and as the music filled the room, I noticed the leaves of the plants gently vibrating, as if they too were swaying to the sound. The clarity and warmth of the setup made the experience both intimate and expansive.
In the second room, Rose and Max introduced us to the 702 S3 Signature B&W speakers, their most impressive yet, with a unique design in a striking Datuk Gloss finish. These tower speakers have been refined to achieve exceptional performance standards. Max generously took the time to tell us about the Marantz Model M1, a compact all-in-one wireless streaming amplifier with 2.1 channels, 100 watts per channel, HDMI eArc, and HEOS built-in, crafted in Shirakawa, Japan. Once again, the minimalist, uncluttered design of the room was perfectly balanced, almost Feng Shui in its arrangement, harmonizing with the sleek M1 unit. It was incredible how much detail and depth the system delivered, even in such a compact space. Both rooms left us feeling pleasantly zen and relaxed.
